Pingwu County Shuijing Traditional Chinese Medicine Planting Professional Cooperative (Pingwu Co-operative for short) was established in 2009, although collectors have been harvesting wild plant products in the area for generations. By organising into a co-operative, the local collectors have been able to achieve certifications for their products, including organic and FairWild. The co-operative members carry out initial processing of products, such as drying, before transporting to their customers.
