Nature Connect is a company set up and owned by Applied Environmental Research Foundation (AERF) of India, a non-governmental organisation that is supporting forest-based enterprise through FairWild certification of wild medicinal plants. Two key ingredients of Triphala - an important medicine of the Indian traditional medicine system of Ayurveda - have been chosen for conservation through sustainable use initiative. These are fruits of Bibitaki Terminalia bellirica and Haritaki Terminalia chebula, which are old growth trees found in the North Western Ghats.
