A global network provides its customers with herbal and fruit teas, medicinal plants, powders, and plant extracts. They constantly strive to improve their products’ sustainability and, since 2011, have actively supported and collaborated with FairWild participants. Simultaneously, they established an internal sourcing system focusing on sustainability that is inspired, monitored, and certified by renowned labels.

Supporting collectors
MartinBauer collectors typically live in remote rural areas where they make their living from agriculture. However, small farmlands rarely provide sufficient support to the owners who need additional funds for health, education or other investments. MartinBauer supports them by providing calves or piglets that serve as a living and growing reserve which can be monetized in days of need.
Knowledge is key
Walking out the door to make money from nature’s gifts may sound easy – but it isn’t! There are so many aspects to consider. Where to find the right plants? How to ensure quality? How to harvest without over-exploiting the source that supplies me? MartinBauer trains their collectors on how to use these sources well and sustainably, so nature will continue to support them in the years to come.
